Another World Champion to make the list, Kofi Kingston has won 8 tag team titles during his time in the New Day stable. Technically becoming a double champion in 2019 when he held the WWE Championship on his own and the Tag team titles as part of the New Day on account of the Free-bird rule. But even before the formation of the New Day, Kingston was an accomplished tag team wrestler.

Kingston has held tag team titles with CM Punk, Evan Bourne and R-Truth during his early WWE career, making him an 11 time tag team champion.

Kofi's career arc is truly remarkable - He started out as a mid-card singles wrestler, winning the IC and US titles before a short run to the cusp of the main event in 2009. After that ended, Kofi captured tag titles with makeshift team mates before being relegated to the traditional Royal Rumble spot guy role in 2012-13.

The creation of New Day in 2014 changed his fortunes. Despite initial struggles as a baby-face tag team, the trio of Big E, Kofi and Xavier Woods have dominated the tag title scene for the rest of the decade - putting out great matches in addition to being entertaining personalities on the screen.

A superb singles performance as a substitute in the 2019 Elimination Chamber captured the imagination of the WWE fans and Kofi was inserted into the WWE title picture in 2019. He would then realise the dream of a life-time by beating Daniel Bryan to capture the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35.

His 180 day title reign might have ended in disappointing fashion with a squash at the hands of Brock Lesnar, but Kofi has been inserted back in to the tag title picture.

WWE Creative doesn't seem interested to put Kofi back in singles action, with him not even receiving his rematch for the World title. But with a New Day breakup seeming to be unlikely considering their popularity among younger fans, Kofi might add more tag titles to his CV.
