Dakota Kai is a professional wrestler, hailing from Auckland, New Zealand. She made her professional wrestling debut during her late teens in New Zealand and Australia's independent circuit. She first appeared in WWE in 2015 and was signed to NXT two years later. After a five-year stint in NXT, she was released from WWE in April 2022. Just a few months later, Kai was signed back by the company and promoted to the main roster.

At SummerSlam 2022, Dakota Kai joined the Damage CTRL faction. In WWE, she has won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship twice with Iyo Sky and also won the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship twice with Raquel Rodriguez. She and Rodriguez were also the inaugural champions of the latter belt.

Royal Rumble 2023 - 21st Place

Dakota Kai entered the 2023 Royal Rumble match at number nine and managed to score an elimination for the first time in the free-for-all. With the help of fellow Damage CTRL members Iyo Sky and Bayley, Kai eliminated Dana Brooke, Shayna Baszler, Roxanne Perez, and Natalya. Further, she eliminated Emma alone. Kai survived the match for 22 minutes and 20 seconds before being eliminated by Becky Lynch.

Royal Rumble 2021 -16th Place

In 2021, Dakota Kai was still an NXT wrestler when she made her second Royal Rumble appearance. She entered the match at number 23 and survived for two minutes and six seconds. Kai failed to score any elimination and was eliminated by Rhea Ripley.

Royal Rumble 2020 - 19th Place

Dakota Kai entered the Royal Rumble match for the first time in 2020, entering at number 15. She survived for just one minute and 32 seconds before being eliminated by Chelsea Green. She failed to eliminate any superstar during his first outing in the Royal Rumble match.
