Damian Priest will look to reclaim the World Heavyweight Championship when he takes on Gunther at Survivor Series: WarGames on November 30. This will be a rematch from SummerSlam, where the Ring General dethroned the Punisher, thanks to some help from Finn Balor, who betrayed Priest and kicked him out of The Judgment Day.

Fast-forward to today. Damian Priest will look to return to the top, but he knows that he has a tough challenge ahead of him. He will not only face Gunther, but he will also need to keep his eyes open for interference from Ludwig Kaiser. The latter will do his best to help the Ring General retain the title, so the Punisher will need to find a way to even the odds. This help could come from famous singer Bad Bunny, who could make a surprise appearance at Survivor Series: WarGames and neutralize Ludwig Kaiser.

Bad Bunny and Damian Priest had a match at Backlash back in 2023 when the latter was a heel, but they can now work together since they are both faces in WWE. Bad Bunny last appeared in WWE almost 18 months ago, and apart from his match with Priest, he is also a former 24/7 champion.

Damian Priest reveals the reason behind the match against Bad Bunny at Backlash

Damian Priest and Bad Bunny collided at Backlash in 2023, and the former World Heavyweight Champion revealed the reason behind facing the famous singer one-on-one.

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet, the Punisher said that the match between the two happened only because the premium live event took place in Puerto Rico. Bad Bunny was born in Puerto Rico, while Priest spent the early years of his life there.

"It almost didn’t happen in Puerto Rico. Plain and simple, I don’t think we would have done the match if it wasn’t in Puerto Rico. For me, it was always, of course, I’m a very proud Puerto Rican, but it was just [about] representing the Latin community, all Hispanics, that, to me, was opening the doors for a lot of stuff...Hands down, my favorite match, just because of what it represented, it was bigger than any win or loss," Priest said. Should Bad Bunny show up at Survivor Series: WarGames, he will be a last-minute addition to the match, as WWE is not expected to bring him to the coming episodes of Monday Night RAW.
