Damian Priest successfully defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre in the main event of Clash at the Castle. The champion then took it upon himself to keep the WWE Universe from missing Roman Reigns in the latter's absence.

The former Bloodline leader has not been seen on television since losing the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania. XL Before his title loss, Reigns would have everyone "acknowledge him," which grew synonymous with this historic title reign.

A viral clip from the Clash at the Castle press conference shows Priest demanding everyone 'rise' to acknowledge him and refusing to answer any questions until the journalists in the room complied.

"All rise. I am not going to answer one question unless all rise for the World Heavyweight Champion, El Campeon, Damian Priest. Rise. [points at those still seated] The three of you rise. That's better, be seated," demanded Damian Priest.

The Archer of Infamy almost lost his gold when Drew McIntyre had him pinned for more than three seconds. But the match official was knocked out and was replaced by CM Punk, disguised as the referee. The Best in the World refused to count the pinfall for McIntyre and hit the latter with a low blow, eventually allowing Priest to recover in time and capitalize.

Damian Priest almost suffered an injury at WWE Clash at the Castle

Damian Priest was involved in a scary spot during his title match against Drew McIntyre, leaving The Archer of Infamy in a lot of pain. The champion attempted a suicide dive in the match, but his ankle was unfortunately caught in the top rope. Priest looked hurt as he hung from the ropes, raising concerns over a potential hamstring injury.

Drew McIntyre quickly acted as he sold the move at ringside and then helped free Damian Priest to make the spot look as natural as possible before the two returned to delivering an excellent title match. In the end, Priest prevailed at Clash at the Castle, thanks to help from CM Punk, adding much to McIntyre's frustrations.
