Many of Daniel Bryan’s colleagues hoped that the wrestler would make his WWE comeback last Sunday at the Royal Rumble, but the return eventually didn’t happen as he hasn’t been given a clean bill of health by the WWE doctors yet.
However, even though he’s out of contention, for now, rumours of him making a return are still doing the rounds – which is why talks of him making a return to the fold at Royal Rumble surfaced.
Bryan has been given a clean bill of health by concussion specialists at UCLA, but it’s the negative report by Dr. Joseph Maroon and WWE that’s acting as a stumbling block in the way of his return.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
The 30-year-old did meet with WWE officials, who told him that he would not be cleared but could perform non-wrestling roles for the franchise. This obviously did not go down well with Bryan, who confronted WWE boss Vince McMahon – who in turn hinted that he wouldn’t be cleared.
This news will obviously come as a blow to Bryan, who has won numerous titles in WWE – including one World Heavyweight Championship, one WWE World Heavyweight Championship, among others.
If things get worse, Bryan could very well walk out of the company – something that he has been contemplating for some time.
