When asked how he’ll fit in once he makes his comeback from injury, Bryan stated that the answer to that question would all depend on when he makes his comeback and stated that he was bummed to give up the Intercontinental title, but stated that he would love to challenge Kevin Owens for the prize.
The wrestler entertained possibilities of him changing his style when he returned to action, stating that his wife had told him to take fewer risks and stated that while he’d be an easy target due to merely standing at five feet eight inches, he enjoyed coming up with ways to overcome that disadvantage and also come up with some concepts to reduce his injuries.
Bryan was also quizzed about his time on Tough Enough, to which he replied: “Honestly it was a bit of a struggle for me. I didn’t question why they were there, or if they just wanted to win the money but I wondered if they really wanted to work hard and to go do the thing that I loved. I wondered if their heart was really in it and it was really hard to watch them do it.”
On asked about his other goals during his injury, Bryan said: “They [WWE] asked me a bunch of stuff of what I’d like to do like announce or be a trainer at NXT. I’m sure at some point in my life I would but right now it would be too soon.”
The 34-year-old also had words of advice for Cesaro and Seth Rollins, who are currently both out due to injuries and stated that Cesaro, who he’s known for ages, has an excellent track record in the franchise and the injury – which is his first major one – took pretty long to occur, which was incredible.
Bryan also pointed out Rollins’ excellent injury record and stated that besides a neck surgery some years ago, his colleague has remained injury free.
Daniel Bryan, whose real name is Bryan Lloyd Danielson, began his wrestling career in 1999 after which he was signed by the WWF one year later, remaining with the franchise for a year before returning in 2010.
The Washington-born wrestler has an excellent track record in WWE and has won, among other things: one WWE Heavyweight Championship, three WWE World Heavyweight Championships, one WWE Tag Team Championship and one Intercontinental Championship.
