Former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan might return to the WWE ring soon as he is expected to meet with WWE doctors later this week in an attempt to clarify his wrestling future with the WWE.
PWInsider.com reports that the former World champion will travel to Pittsburgh, PA in the coming days to either undergo further medical testing to investigate his current condition or for a face-to-face meeting with WWE’s Dr. Joseph Maroon to perhaps try again in his pursuit to be cleared for a return to a WWE ring. Maroon is WWE’s head of Wellness Policy testing and so far has only given a negative verdict on Bryan’s wrestling future.
It is likely that Dr. Maroon will clear Bryan to wrestle again as Bryan sought out a second opinion on his health several months ago and that independent doctor, who doesn’t work for WWE, cleared him for an in-ring return. In his absence from WWE, it has been said that Bryan is working hard to make a comeback. His comeback date is yet to be revealed, but if he clears the test, he could make a return to the ring before the Wrestlemania.
Bryan returning will be a big boost for WWE in the absence of top stars like Seth Rollins, John Cena, Randy Orton and Cesaro.
