Big E suffered only his second pinfall loss to Bobby Lashley since becoming the WWE Champion. The other man to do it was Universal Champion Roman Reigns, who beat him in the Survivor Series main event.

This current run of Lashley has essentially been WWE picking up where they left off with him back in October. While he was dominant throughout the year, the period between his WWE title loss and the penultimate episode of RAW before Survivor Series was a bad one.

Lashley lost a few matches against top superstars like Goldberg, Big E, and Roman Reigns. He was taken out of WWE programming for a short while before he returned to take Dominik Mysterio's spot at Survivor Series 2021.
