This could mean that while Ambrose will be featured on the Impact tv show, he could still continue working for smaller promotions and choose his own dates and schedule, unlike the WWE where Superstars had no say in picking the dates they wanted to work.

Impact Wrestling has been putting out entertaining shows on a weekly basis--unfortunately, not many people are tuning in to watch that. However, bringing Moxley on board can drastically change that.
Impact may offer Jon freedom over his character and arcs in a way that WWE were just not willing to give him. By getting the reigns of his character in his own Ambrose will be able to satisfy his creative desires and will be motivated to perform better.
