#2. Returning to his hardcore roots
Before WWE rechristened Jon Moxley into Dean Ambrose, Moxley was well known for his brash, violent and hardcore style of wrestling on the independent circuit.
While many people believe that Moxley would have been an instant hit in the Attitude Era, unfortunately this character was not in line with WWE's current PG product.

Impact Wrestling, however, has much more "adult" programming with many matches heavily focused on blood and gore. Moxley would be a perfect fit for such an environment.
#1. Short contract before he decides to re-sign with WWE
There have been rumors that Ambrose will actually return to WWE after a period on 6 months to one year. While these reports need to be taken with a pinch of salt, if they do hold any truth, then Impact would be the best place for Ambrose to spend his transitional phase in.
Unlike AEW or WWE, Impact has given Superstars the option to sign short-term contracts and it is possible that Ambrose may be looking for a short-term deal for now.
