Rey Mysterio is one of the most famous luchadors in the world, born in California. He spent most of his childhood between Mexico and the United States. Even though he wasn’t born in Mexico, he is a proud Mexican and made a name for himself there before traveling around the world bringing the Lucha Libre style to wrestling fans and becoming a superhero for his young fans.
He started his career at the age of 14 in Mexico being trained by his uncle Rey Mysterio Sr., and by 1992 he had signed with the major Mexican premotion AAA before working for ECW and WCW in America. Between his work for WWE, where he has worked on and off since 2002, he has also worked for CMLL, New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Lucha Underground. Because of this he is one of the most decorated luchadors in the world.
