Several WWE SmackDown and RAW stars have appeared on different brands despite conducting the draft earlier this year. However, some fans may be confused with the status of Michin, also known as Mia Yim, after she has frequented NXT.
During the 2024 WWE Draft, Michin, and the rest of The O.C. with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, remained on the WWE SmackDown brand. However, the trio has often been seen on NXT, whether as a group, duo, or even as solo stars. However, this doesn't indicate they have departed the Friday show.
Even if Michin is appearing on NXT frequently, she hasn't left WWE SmackDown. Previous reports indicated that some main roster talent would go to the Tuesday show for brief periods if and when needed. Also, main roster stars appearing on Tuesday shows have become common.
Aside from Michin, Natalya has also appeared on the brand recently, as well as The Final Testament, Ivar, Latino World Order, Shotzi, and more. Becky Lynch even won the brand's Women's Championship while also working as a RAW star and Dominik Mysterio for the North American Championship.
Michin will be in action on NXT again tonight against Tatum Paxley in an attempt to qualify for the brand's Women's North American Championship six-woman ladder match at Battleground.
What promise did WWE SmackDown star Michin make about her time in NXT?
The 35-year-old has been wrestling since she was 18, officially making her debut in the sport in 2009. She has achieved several things from different promotions, however, she is eyeing a historic win in NXT.
On June 9, 2024, at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, NXT will crown the first-ever Women's North American Champion through a six-women ladder match. Ahead of the qualifying match, the WWE SmackDown star promised that although she failed to become the Queen of the Ring, she would be the first ever to hold the aforementioned championship:
"I may not make it to Queen of the Ring but I promise I’ll give everything to be THE FIRST NXT Women’s North American Champion."
Michin has achieved several things in her more than a decade-long career. However, becoming the first-ever Women's North American Champion will certainly be a historic win. It would be interesting to see if she will be able to make this dream into a reality on the upcoming Tuesday show.
