AJ Styles has disappeared from WWE television. The Phenomenal One was last seen on the October 4, edition of SmackDown when he was taken out mid-match due to a real injury.
The former WWE Champion was recently seen backstage at TNA Final Resolution, according to a report from Fighful Select. This news caused an online stir with many wrestling fans thinking AJ Styes was returning home to TNA.
Fortunately for WWE fans, that is not the case. Fightful Select has confirmed they haven't heard of any business-related activities involving the former WWE Champion at the TNA PPV. The Phenomenal One was at the event to spend time with his friends and hang out backstage.
AJ Styles is a TNA legend who spent most of his career there. He is one of the reasons the company is known worldwide. When WWE was going through its lean period, TNA was on the rise and took the fight to them.
The Phenomenal One was a key soldier in that battle. Eventually, in 2016, he joined WWE and went on to become one of the top draws in the company. He has won the WWE Championship two times, the Intercontinental Championship once, and the United States Championship thrice.
Wrestling Legend claims AJ Styles is a sure shot Hall of Famer
There is no wrestling fanatic in the world who will not acknowledge what AJ Styles has done for this industry. The Phenomenal One has made a name for himself in almost every top promotion in the world.
Despite his short time in WWE, many fans would love to see him in the WWE Hall of Fame, and so would a former WCW Champion. Speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Diamond Dallas Page claimed AJ Styles was a sure-shot Hall of Famer.
"AJ [Styles] is one of the greatest of all time and absolutely first-ballot Hall of Famer. I mean, he's phenomenal for shoot [for real], and there are times I'll just text him over the years, and I was like, 'You really are Superman,'" Diamond Dallas Page said. [54:36-54:53]
A positive takeaway from AJ Styles' appearance at TNA Final Resolution was that he appeared to be walking normally. He wasn't on crutches or wearing any cast. This means a WWE return could be around the corner for the former WWE Champion. Our best guess for his return is the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble in a month.
