Cody Rhodes is currently out with an injury following a Piledriver from Kevin Owens after their title match at Saturday Night's Main Event a week ago. The American Nightmare is expected to miss some time, as WWE wrote him off TV after the assault.

However, it appears that before WWE wrote him off TV, the Undisputed WWE Champion hinted at the debut of a new star. This star is Penta. After Cody Rhodes received a Piledriver from KO, he supposedly hinted at the former AEW's arrival, as his hand created number zero, which is Penta's signature sign.

Whether Rhodes teased Penta's arrival remains to be seen, but it appears that the former AEW star is close to signing with WWE, as the two sides are reportedly in advanced talks.

As a matter of fact, last Monday on RAW, WWE teased Penta's arrival, via a clip that showed number zero and a line, with fans speculating that this was a sign that the former AEW star would arrive to WWE soon.

A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.

There is also a potential scenario that Penta will show up at the RAW premiere on Netflix on January 6, while it is unclear whether The American Nightmare will appear in the show.

WWE may have revealed Cody Rhodes' return date

It is unclear how much time Cody Rhodes will miss, but with the next premium live event still a few weeks away, it seems that WWE may keep him out for some time.

The reigning Undisputed WWE Champion is advertised for the January 20 episode of Monday Night RAW, meaning that he could be back in the final RAW before Saturday Night's Main Event in San Antonio (January 25) and a couple of weeks before the Royal Rumble (February 1).

It also seems that The American Nightmare could become part of RAW on Netflix, which would make sense, since Cody Rhodes was seen talking to GM Adam Pearce a couple of weeks ago.

Thus, seeing as how the WWE Transfer Window is open, WWE could move him to RAW and send the World Heavyweight Champion Gunther over to SmackDown. Another star that might move to the red brand when it moves to Netflix is The Original Tribal Chief Roman Reigns.
