WWE SmackDown seems to have dropped a major tease for Roman Reigns’ next feud after WrestleMania 40.
The Tribal Chief did not appear on the blue brand's show this week. Paul Heyman was forced to find a third partner for Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso against AJ Styles, Randy Orton, and LA Knight. The Wiseman bumped into a bunch of superstars, including Bobby Lashley, and asked them to team up with The Bloodline.
The All Mighty denied the request with a declaration of his own, saying he would only want to be in the ring with The Bloodline if he was standing across from Roman Reigns. Ideally, this segment would lead to a title match between Lashley and Reigns at a major premium live event after WrestleMania 40.
Watch the segment below:
It is worth mentioning that Lashley has yet to challenge the Head of the Table for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. They last went against each other in a Triple-Threat Match also involving Big E on the September 20, 2021, edition of Monday Night RAW.
When was the last time Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns had a singles match against each other?
Roman Reigns was Bobby Lashley’s first major feud after The All Mighty returned to WWE in 2018. Both men squared off for the first time at Extreme Rules 2018 Premium Live Event. Lashley defeated Reigns cleanly in that match.
They would meet in a rematch on the July 23, 2018, episode of Monday Night RAW. This time, the outcome would not be in Lashley’s favor. Reigns would win the match and get the opportunity to face Brock Lesnar for his title at SummerSlam 2018.
The Big Dog would slay The Beast Incarnate for the Universal Championship at the Biggest Party of the Summer.
