Bo Dallas has been portraying the character of Uncle Howdy for a long time on WWE RAW. However, did someone else play the character before him?
During Bray Wyatt's last run as a WWE Superstar, he introduced Uncle Howdy, another cryptic character who pushed him to the dark side. As the character always wore a mask, fans often wondered if someone other than Bo Dallas originally played the character on television.
According to a new report from Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, a stand-in was used a few times before Bray Wyatt's unfortunate passing to film segments involving Howdy. However, the name behind the mask was always Wyatt's real-life brother. The stand-in was never supposed to be revealed.
Sean Ross Sapp mentioned the report was based on his understanding, so the fans should take it with a grain of salt. It is pleasing to see that Bray reintroduced his brother, who is doing well carrying his legacy forward in the Stamford-based promotion.
Uncle Howdy and The Wyatt Sicks' journey so far on WWE RAW
Fans highly anticipated the debut of the mysterious faction after Bray Wyatt's untimely passing, and it certainly exceeded expectations. Eric Rowan, Nikki Cross, Dexter Lumis, and Joe Gacy returned to television alongside Uncle Howdy earlier this year to assault several people backstage, including Chad Gable, who recently turned on The Alpha Academy.
After several vignettes of Wyatt Sicks members and their cryptic transformations, the group finally debuted against Chad Gable and the Creed Brothers' new alliance named American Made. They picked up a dominant win and after a few weeks, Howdy defeated Gable to end the feud.
The classic QR codes have started to reappear on WWE television and The Wyatt Sicks will soon find a new target on WWE RAW. Who knows? Fans could also see the faction make their way over to WWE SmackDown in the upcoming weeks.
