The Rock's daughter, Ava, is one of the most recent additions to WWE from the Anoa'i family. However, unlike most of her family members, she currently doesn't wrestle and instead holds an on-screen authority role in NXT.
Ava made her highly anticipated WWE television debut on the October 25, 2022, episode of NXT, where she was revealed as a member of the Schism faction. She competed in several matches with the group until it disbanded in 2023 following The Dyad's departure. Earlier in 2024, The Rock's daughter took on a new role as the General Manager of the brand, making her the youngest GM in WWE history. She has been thriving in this new on-screen position, and it seems likely that she will continue in this role for the foreseeable future.
On a recent Backstage Pass Live Q&A with WrestleVotes and Bill Apter, a viewer asked if Ava has quietly retired from wrestling. WrestleVotes answered that there is no definitive answer, but in their perspective, The Rock's daughter is done with wrestling. They added that the 23-year-old is well-liked on the brand and the superstar is happy with her role.
"I don't know for sure if she's going to, you know, step between the ropes again. I do know that she's very well-liked down there between everybody and she's on TV consistently every week at her age without having to wrestle, so I think she's happy with the role she's in right now. Things change all the time. I would say if I was betting I would say probably not, she's likely done as a wrestler." (From 25:46 to 26:08)

WrestleVotes and Bill Apter also discussed the GM's recent appearance on RAW last week. The latter wondered why The Rock didn't involve his daughter in The Bloodline storyline and questioned why she was on the main roster, to which the former replied it was maybe to showcase the NXT talent as they were also in St. Louis that week. Still, both men agreed they weren't expecting her to wrestle soon.
What did The Rock say about Ava joining WWE?
The 23-year-old mainly distances herself from her family in WWE by not talking about them much, opting to separate herself from them. However, that doesn't mean her father will no longer talk about her.
On the Will Cain Show, The Rock was asked why most children of wrestlers become wrestlers themselves. Dwayne Johnson answered that it's mainly because it's in their system and their core.
It remains to be seen if Ava will ever return to being an in-ring star again.
