WWE could hint at the future of the New Day on Monday Night RAW. Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston had a match with The War Raiders, seeking revenge after their loss at the No.1 contenders match for the World Tag Team Championship last week.
Before the match, the two had a backstage segment, during which Woods blamed his tag team partner for the defeat, saying that he 'dropped the ball.' The two then had an argument before suffering a second straight loss to the War Raiders.
During the segment, WWE hinted at the future of the tag team, with the two having an argument and the WrestleMania 41 logo on the back. With that in mind, the New Day could eventually split in the coming weeks or months, with Woods having a heel turn. That way, Woods and Kingston could start a feud leading to a match at 'Mania, while the creative team could even bring Big E back to live TV after a couple of years and make him the special guest referee for the match.
Big E has been out with a serious neck injury for almost two years, but he has recently been linked to a return to WWE TV, either as a competitor or a manager.

Xavier Woods says he wants to become a champion in WWE again
It has been a while since The New Day became tag team champions on RAW, and Xavier Woods wants this to change.
In a video posted on X, Woods opened up about his recent actions, saying that his goal is to become a champion in both singles competition and tag team action.
"I have aspirations of becoming a singles champion for the first time in my WWE career, I have aspirations of becoming thirteen time World Tag Team Champions with Kofi Kingston. Why would I put that target on my back?" Xavier Woods said. [H/T Inside the Ropes Wrestling]
Xavier Woods has been frustrated for months, and a heel turn should be his plan going forward. Whether that will lead to a match against Kofi Kingston at WrestleMania 41 remains to be seen.
