WWE Crown Jewel 2023 is an event that many wrestling fans are anticipating, but it looks like Brock Lesnar will be out of the picture this year. Although only one match has been confirmed so far, it's possible The Beast was never planned for the event.
WWE Crown Jewel is a wrestling event the Stamford-based promotion has held in Saudi Arabia as part of its 10-year partnership. It has been held in the country every year since 2018, except in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Brock Lesnar has not missed an appearance since its first show, but that may change in 2023.
The 46-year-old star in question for the upcoming Saudia Arabia event is John Cena, who is reportedly set to face Roman Reigns or Solo Sikoa. While some may think The Cenation Leader replaced The Beast Incarnate, that's not the case. There haven't been any reports that Lesnar was planned to return in November this year.

Brock is one of the biggest stars in sports entertainment, but so is Cena. This could be why the Stamford-based promotion and Lesnar have agreed to let the latter miss out this year if John is confirmed. Still, The Beast's absence will surely be felt by fans watching the show.
When could Brock Lesnar return to WWE?
The Beast Incarnate was quite active at the beginning of the year. He was present for every Premium Live Event from Royal Rumble until SummerSlam, which marked the last time fans saw him in action. He even began a trilogy feud with Cody Rhodes, which elevated the latter's status.
As per reports from Xero News, Lesnar's return could be within the same timeframe for next year. The site stated that The Beast could return in January, and although the promotion wants him for Crown Jewel, nothing is confirmed yet.
"Most recent news I heard, was they had spoke about Brock Lesnar returning to WWE in January. They did want Brock for Crown Jewel, but not confirmed to be on the cards yet, so if not - expect to see Lesnar in Jan."
What is the confirmed match for WWE Crown Jewel 2023 so far?
As stated above, WWE has only confirmed one match for the Saudia Arabia event, so far. The bout will see Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre face-off for the World Heavyweight Championship.
WWE Crown Jewel will take place on November 4, 2023, at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
