This week, WWE star Ethan Page fought for the NXT North American Championship but failed to dethrone Tony D'Angelo. Afterward, the former NXT Champion was frustrated and concerned about what would be next for him in his career.

During his match with Tony D'Angelo, Ethan Page used the signature move of a WWE legend and former AEW star Matt Hardy. Page used the Twist of Fate on D'Angelo, but this wasn't enough to give him the victory. The former NXT Champion could hint at the return of the WWE legend, who recently re-signed with TNA, along with his brother and fellow legend, Jeff Hardy.

The Hardy Boys could return to the Stamford-based company as part of the partnership with TNA. That way, Matt Hardy would be able to move to NXT and either reunite with Ethan Page or re-ignite his feud with the former champion.

Ethan Page and Matt Hardy had a feud in early 2023 when the two were part of the AEW roster. After NXT ended this week, Matt Hardy took to his account on X and posted that he 'endorsed' Ethan Page hitting Twist of Fate.

Matt Hardy expects Ethan Page to move to the WWE main roster soon

Ethan Page has done a great job as a heel on NXT, but there appears to be nothing left to accomplish on the brand. Thus, his next move should be to join either RAW or SmackDown.

In a recent episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the reigning TNA World Tag Team Champion had high praise for Ethan Page, saying he should move to the main roster soon.

"I do think he is destined for the main roster, sooner rather than later. He’s a solid worker, he can go out there and have a great match with anyone, and he is an entertainer. He gets the entertainment aspect of pro wrestling," Matt Hardy said.

WWE announced a transfer window during which superstars can move from one brand to another. With that in mind and RAW heading to Netflix on January 6, Ethan Page could soon join the red or blue brand.
