-Destination America (DA) General Manager Mark Etkind was reported to have left the company to work for The Science Channel which is a part of Discovery Communications. Etkind did so with the hopes of keeping pro wrestling on the network and was replaced by Jane Latman. However, it turns out that Dixie Carter was the reason behind Ektind’s decision.
Dixie Carter had accidently dropped an e-mail to Discovery Network executives expressing her views over the release of DVR ratings. She claimed one of the executive to be an idiot for not releasing DVR ratings. Furthermore, she went on to compare this with Spike TV, who did sometimes release their DVR.
Since Impact Wrestling has had 15-20% increases if DVR numbers for the week are factored, she tried to explain why should the DVR of the show be clubbed with overall TV ratings as it might make them all look like a success.

Apparently, this ‘one’ executive she called out to was the now Ex-General Manager Mark Etkind. Whilst she was taking shots at Etkins, collateral damage was also done to Discovery President Mark Graboff, who appeared as a target of Dixie’s criticism.
On the other hand, no official statements have been made regarding DA's decision for keeping Wrestling after Etkind’s absence. Rumor has it that all programming decisions are being presently evaluated.
TNA seems sorted as it has a notion of finishing up in January and on the contrary, ROH executives still await DA's decision regarding their future with them.
