Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have become public enemy number one after kicking Big E out of The New Day last week on WWE RAW. Although their on-screen relationship is not doing well, the same doesn't necessarily translate to off-screen.

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have expressed tension on WWE RAW for the past few months. They got into a screaming contest backstage before celebrating The New Day's 10th Anniversary, and it seemed like the group was finished. When the celebration came about, Big E also returned and attempted to patch things up between them, but the duo had already planned to move on without him. They presented the stat with some harsh words, like how E left them on the Monday show despite not requiring surgery for his neck. Although they aren't best friends on-screen, the opposite is true behind the scenes.

Kofi and Xavier don't hate Big E for "leaving" them on Monday Night RAW due to his neck injury and it's all just part of a storyline. All three men have been friends for a decade and despite E's absence on television, they continued hanging out with each other for the past few years and supported his every step. Kofi and Xavier even refused to get a replacement for E in the past.

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods appeared on this week's RAW to further explain their decision and actions, but they weren't able to do this as fans booed them out of the arena.

What did Kofi Kingston say about his and Xavier Woods' decision to remove Big E from The New Day?

Although Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods remain on good terms with the former WWE Champion behind the scenes, the RAW duo still has to play the part of being Big E's former friends.

In a recent interview on the Chase & Big Joe Show, Kingston said he was surprised that fans didn't understand why he and Woods decided to kick E out. He claims that everything they said about The Powerhouse of Positivity was true. Kofi also added that just because fans are upset about the decision, it doesn't mean they are right.

“Everything we said on Monday night was completely factual. We told the truth. You might not like to hear what it was, but people online and social media are cussing and cursing us, and there are all these insults that have nothing to do with what we’re talking about. I know that when you can’t bring a rational argument to the table, that means you know that you’re wrong. If you don’t have any facts for the argument. Just because you’re upset doesn’t mean you’re right."
