CM Punk and Sami Zayn will team up against The New Bloodline at Survivor Series: WarGames. The Best in the World will join the former Intercontinental Champion, The Usos, and Roman Reigns as the fifth member of The OG Bloodline.

CM Punk doesn't see eye-to-eye with Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso, but he clearly has a great relationship with Jey Uso. As for Sami Zayn, it seems the two were not on the same page during Punk's first stint with WWE, but it appears that things have now changed.

Speaking with fellow WWE Superstar Damian Priest, Sami Zayn opened up about Punk's return at the 2023 Survivor Series: WarGames and solving his issues with him afterwards.

"I think there were still some weird, underlying stuff with Punk and I, which, you know, is well documented. He is an interesting character, who has his ups and downs, with most people, both in the ring and backstage at various points, if you know it, I am on the long enough timeline. So, I think there is just some unresolved stuff between he and I and we hadn't spoken for I don't know how many years at this time. So, seeing him back at first was like ok, but we ended up talking whatever issues were out and you know, it is what it is and I think those people, like of doesn't matter what I think. Look at these people, they are all jumping out of their seats, and I think this is all that really matters," Sami Zayn said.

It looks like Sami Zayn wasn't the only one who had issues with CM Punk backstage. Superstars, like Drew McIntyre weren't reportedly on the same page with The Best in the World as well, while Punk's rivalry with Seth Rollins is expected to intensify going forward.

WWE star once revealed he had 'no relationsip' with CM Punk

Sami Zayn's best friend, Kevin Owens, was one of the many superstars that shared their thoughts on the return of CM Punk and their relationship with him once the latter returned to WWE.

In an interview with Gorilla Position back in April, KO revealed that he and Punk respected and 'acknowledged' each other, but had 'no relationship.'

"We have no relationship. We're not each other's type of people, I don't think. We'll acknowledge each other. There's a ten-foot vicinity that if we enter in, then we have to kinda, 'Hey, hi.' Otherwise, we just don't, and it's fine. It's perfectly fine," Kevin Owens said. [H/T - WrestlingInc.]

Punk and Owens haven't crossed paths so far, as the latter is on SmackDown and the former on RAW, but with the red brand moving to Netflix, WWE could create a storyline involving the two superstars in the future.
