CM Punk returned to WWE after a mini hiatus of six weeks and competed at Survivor Series, helping the OG Bloodline defeat the new Bloodline in a WarGames Match. He then returned to Monday Night RAW after nearly two months and had a heated confrontation with Seth Rollins.

The Best in the World has his sights set not only on The Visionary, but also the World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, and he is likely to collide with both megastars in the coming weeks and months. CM Punk has emerged as a megastar thanks to his on-screen success, but WWE fans are also interested in his life outside the ring.

During his first stint with WWE, Punk met AJ Lee, who was also one of the top stars in the business at the time. The two became a couple and got married in June 2014. They have been together for over a decade and have no kids. Lee left the Stamford-based promotion a few months after her husband's departure in January 2014. She announced her exit by retiring from wrestling. However, after her husband's return last year, she has been speculated to make a comeback as well.

CM Punk explains the biggest challenge for AJ Lee's WWE return

It has been nearly a decade since AJ Lee was seen in a WWE ring. Fast forward to today, the former three-time Divas Champion wouldn't rule out a comeback to the ring to work again with CM Punk.

Speaking with Peter Rosenberg on the Cheap Heat podcast, The Best in the World named his wife's busy schedule as the biggest challenge for her return.

"Yeah, I would say it definitely did. It’s more of a workload thing for her. She is very busy. I’m not trying to not talk about it, but I’m also trying to temper people’s expectations. If she wraps up some stuff that she’s working on and she has the time and she feels like dipping her toe back in or jumping back in the pool, she’ll let us know," CM Punk said. [H/T: ITR Wrestling]

With RAW set for a blockbuster move to Netflix on January 6, WWE could try to pursue AJ Lee to come back, to further bolster their women's division.
