Dominik Mysterio has set his sights on the big prize and has made it clear that he does not want to be under the umbrella of Liv Morgan or any other superstar. Instead, he wants to capture a major championship.
During the latest episode of the red brand, Dominik Mysterio opened up about his future aspiration to become the World Heavyweight Champion. However, nothing is served on the table in WWE; one has to earn their spot. Adam Pearce informed Dirty Dom that he would face a former World Champion on the next episode of RAW, and if he managed to win, he would earn his shot at the title.
Fans and pundits are suggesting that Damian Priest is most likely the former champion Dominik Mysterio will face. However, there is a possibility to create buzz and Rhea Ripley could reveal herself as the ex-world champion who could be a roadblock on Dom’s path to the top.
Dominik Mysterio is one of the primary reasons that cost Rhea Ripley her championship matches against Liv Morgan in the past. To return the favor, Mami could stand against her former on-screen boyfriend. This would not be the first time The Nightmare would take on a male superstar in a match. In 2022, she beat Akira Tozawa in an intergender bout. Even in the recent edition of the red brand, the Aussie superstar overpowered Dominik, Liv, and Raquel together.
Gunther sends a warning to Dominik Mysterio after RAW
Even if Dominik Mysterio somehow manages to defeat the former champion on the next episode of RAW, he needs to face one of the most vicious forces on the roster in the form of World Heavyweight Champion Gunther to win the title.
It seems like The Ring General has his eyes set on Dirty Dom, and he might have to pay the price for his words and provoking the wrong champion. Gunther posted a video compilation of him viciously chopping Dominik when they last crossed paths early this year on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
It remains to be seen which former World Champion will face Dominik Mysterio on the upcoming episode of RAW, and if he can overcome the challenge and get closer to the title shot.
