Dominik Mysterio to turn babyface after 2 years on WWE RAW? Exploring the chances

Dominik Mysterio defeated Damian Priest on the latest episode of WWE RAW to earn a chance against Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship. While he expected to defeat The Archer of Infamy by himself, Carlito and JD McDonagh ambushed the former Judgment Day member while Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez distracted the referee.

Before the match, a backstage segment showed the moment Adam Pearce revealed Damian Priest as Dominik Mysterio's challenger. Finn Balor tried to warn 'Dirty Dom' about the former World Heavyweight Champion, but Mysterio asked the members to have faith in him. The Prince walked away from them, showcasing a rising tension between Mysterio and himself.

Considering Finn Balor is leading the faction, if tensions continue to brew, he can have Carlito and JD McDonagh remove Dominik Mysterio from the faction. Either Liv Morgan can exit with him or she can reveal working with The Prince all along. However, a removal from Judgment Day and betrayal from Liv Morgan can push the former NXT North American Champion to turn babyface again.

Furthermore, Gunther is a top heel in WWE, and so is Dominik Mysterio. Ideally, one of them will turn babyface before their match on WWE RAW. It should be The Judgment Day member considering he might benefit from a fresh start. He seems to be stuck in a never-ending loop of romantic angles with Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley, and the spark from the storyline is fading.

Liv Morgan opened up about Dominik Mysterio making her cry on RAW

Back when Mysterio was still with Rhea Ripley, both of them cut a promo with Liv Morgan standing among the audience. 'Dirty Dom' used harsh words to supposedly make it clear to Morgan about what he thought of her. Dominik Mysterio chose The Eradicator over Morgan during that promo, and the Women's World Champion left the arena in tears.

During an interview with Christ Van Vliet on INSIGHT, she revealed having no idea about Mysterio's plan and that he was going to choose her at SummerSlam. She believes that making her cry was a part of his plan to successfully catch her by surprise at The Biggest Party of the Summer:

"No, they weren’t [nice words]. But I didn’t know at the time that that was all part of his plan. He [Dominik Mysterio] said that to me to throw me off so that everything that happens at SummerSlam would be just a major surprise. So I didn’t know. I had no idea that he was gonna say that to me. I had no idea that at SummerSlam he was gonna choose me."

While the lovebirds are soaring high in WWE RAW with constant victories, fans might not be responding to the angle as enthusiastically as they were before. Triple H might need to give them a creative update before the story turns stale.
