CM Punk Vs. Tomasso Ciampa
Two of the most successful independent superstars to jump to the WWE, CM Punk and Tomasso Ciampa personify broad-appeal.
In NXT, Ciampa has become the top star in the developmental brand, capturing the NXT Championship from Aleister Black, who was subsequently and mysteriously attacked backstage.
Punk joined the company in 2006 and captured the ECW Championship a year later.
During his tenure, he became an Intercontinental and Tag Champion and had an incredible 434-day reign as WWE Champion.
However, Punk left the WWE in 2014 and has seemingly retired from wrestling. Fans did speculate (and hope) that he would appear at independent supershow ALL IN, but after that didn't happen, it seems highly unlikely we'll see the Second City Savior in a wrestling ring ever again.
