Drew McIntyre stunned the WWE Universe after quitting the company on the June 17 episode of Monday Night RAW. The Scottish Warrior was furious after he was screwed during his title match against the World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest at Clash at the Castle.
Drew McIntyre came a step closer to reclaiming the title, but CM Punk appeared as the special guest referee and cost him the title for a third time over the last couple of months.
WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H attempted to cool him down, but McIntyre walked out on him. The Scottish Warrior recently said about Triple H that 'he has fooled everybody from top to bottom,' and there was speculation that he could return and attack The Game.
However, this is not a likely scenario, as Drew McIntyre is focused on his feud with CM Punk.
#3. Triple H is not medically cleared for an in-ring bout
Triple H has done a great job as a WWE Chief Content Officer and has received high praise from fans and superstars. The Game has made a difference as the company's new boss, but there is zero chance he will return to the ring as an active wrestler.
Triple H once had a serious medical issue, and even though he is now fully healthy, he has been forced to retire from in-ring competition. With that in mind, there is no chance The Scottish Warrior will attack Triple H when he returns to WWE. The most likely scenario is to confront him either in the ring or backstage.
#2. Triple H is not Drew McIntyre's target right now
Drew McIntyre has been in a mega feud with CM Punk since the latter returned to WWE in November 2023.
McIntyre injured Punk in January 2024, and The Best in the World has been out since then. Still, their match is set to take place at SummerSlam, which makes CM Punk McIntyre's main target right now.
With that in mind, even if the former champion is furious with what happened in Glasgow last weekend, his focus is on CM Punk, not Triple H.
#1. Drew McIntyre quitting WWE is part of the storyline with CM Punk
Drew McIntyre will not leave WWE, as he recently signed a new, lucrative deal with the company. Thus, quitting WWE is part of his storyline with CM Punk, and he could return as early as this Friday, when The Best In The World will be in his hometown of Chicago for the June 21 episode of SmackDown.
Thus, attacking Triple H would make no sense, as it would add nothing more to his feud with Punk, as the two megastars are set to collide at Summerslam in early August.
