Drew McIntyre is recovering from the injuries he sustained during his brutal Hell in a Cell Match against CM Punk at Bad Blood and his loss to the Best in the World, which settled their rivalry once and for all. As the Scottish Warrior prepares for his next storyline, it is unclear whether he will take significant time off to recover and return for his next feud. McIntyre didn't show up on RAW on Monday, meaning he will be off for a while.
Being one of the top heels in the business, Drew McIntyre could show up and target one of his rivals, Jey Uso, a top face in WWE. The Yeet Master became the Intercontinental Champion a few weeks ago and is now set for a rematch with Bron Breakker following a successful title defense against Xavier Woods. It is unclear whether this rematch will take place on RAW or at Crown Jewel, but heading into Survivor Series: WarGames, Jey could be looking for his next opponent.
And this opponent could be Drew McIntyre, who could return at some point next month and dethrone the former tag team champion. Should this happen, McIntyre would manage to get back to the title picture right away while keeping the door open for a future World Heavyweight Championship match.
As for Jey Uso, even though his first singles title reign would end after just a few weeks, he could move to SmackDown and reunite with Jimmy Uso and Roman Reigns against Solo Sikoa and Bloodline 2.0.
Triple H praises Drew McIntyre and CM Punk for their Hell in a Cell Match at Bad Blood
Drew McIntyre and CM Punk received many positive reactions for their performances at their Hell in a Cell Match at Bad Blood.
More importantly, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H highly praised both superstars and their work in the ring.
"Drew McIntyre and CM Punk just put on a classic and a clinic, and did it in a way that… Sort of what that is supposed to be. It’s what Hell in a Cell is supposed to be....And it is what it’s supposed to be and they delivered a classic. All-time classic. Happy for both of them," Triple H told media after Bad Blood. Unlike McIntyre, CM Punk showed up on RAW and shared a cryptic message about his future in WWE. He said that he would take some time off to recover but doesn't know what is next for him.
