WWE has several exciting ongoing rivalries, but arguably the most interesting and intense has been the feud between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre. In many ways, the feud goes back to November of last year, when Punk made his return to the company.
One somewhat common theme throughout this rivalry has been The Scottish Psychopath destroying CM Punk. He has left him a bloody mess on multiple occasions. With that being said, there is a chance Drew could soon have added help doing that thanks to The Final Testament.
While McIntyre has been able to jump and thus brutalize Punk multiple times, when the two clashed at Bash in Berlin, it was CM Punk who stood tall. The former WWE Champion could use some help, and The Final Testament could be the group that aids him. He might even take over the group.
The Final Testament is currently led by Karrion Kross. It also features Akam and Rezar of the Authors of Pain, Scarlett, and Paul Ellering. Together, the group is quite dangerous and violent, but they'd become even more intense if they united with Drew McIntyre.
Given their past, Drew and Karrion may have issues at first, but if the two former WWE champions could unite, Punk would be beaten down regularly and likely unable to ever get a win over The Scottish Psychopath again.
CM Punk doesn't have many friends in WWE to help him
Drew McIntyre leading The Final Testament would be even more damaging to CM Punk thanks to The Straight Edge Superstar's current status in WWE. To put it bluntly, Punk has few, if any, friends in the promotion.
It is important to remember that CM Punk has always been a controversial figure. Between his past, the way he exited World Wrestling Entertainment, the consistent slander against the company afterward, and his exit from AEW, Punk has made a lot of enemies.
That is why Drew McIntyre is so adamantly against Punk being back. Seth Rollins even infamously called CM Punk a cancer. As a result, if Punk were to battle Drew McIntyre and The Final Testament, he'd likely be doing it completely by himself.
There is an outside chance that someone such as Kofi Kingston, who was an old friend of Punk's, or Jey Uso, who is generally a good guy, could come to his aid. Both of those instances are no guarantee, however. McIntyre aligning with The Final Testament could truly spell the end of CM Punk.
