Drew McIntyre is a Scottish Professional Wrestler currently signed with WWE, where he appears on the Raw brand. Galloway started his professional wrestling training in 2001 at Frontier Wrestling Alliance’s Academy and made his debut at British Championship Wrestling in 2003 and wrestled there for three years. He then wrestled for various independent wrestling circuits for the next two years before joining WWE. He made his professional wrestling debut in late 2007 changing his ring name to Drew McIntyre. He had a brief run before moving to WWE’s developmental brand Florida Championship Wrestling. After wrestling for a couple of years in FCW, McIntyre re-debuted in 2009 on the SmackDown brand, establishing himself as a villain by attacking R Truth on his debut. He was McMahon’s handpicked one and was introduced as the “future world champion”. McIntyre had a feud with John Morrison, where they faced each other at TLC for the Intercontinental Championship, where McIntyre poked the eyes of Morrison and pinned him to become the Intercontinental Champion. He held the championship for 161 days and lost the title to Kofi Kingston at Over the Limit. He had visa issues and took off from television, but fixed the problem and appeared again. WWE creative was not happy with McIntyre's in-ring abilities and techniques and took him away from championship matches. WWE inserted him in a stable with Jinder Mahal and Heat Slater to form 3MB and got released in 2014.

When did Drew McIntyre rejoin WWE?

After being released from WWE in 2014, McIntyre wrestled for various independent Circuits, and wrestling circuits including Evolve, Total Nonstop action Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Guerilla and so on. He transformed himself into a hottest free agent, by fixing his incapabilities and evolved into a powerhouse by adding more muscle to the body. It gained the attention of WWE and got re-signed to the company in 2017 and was found on the front row at NXT TakeOver: Orlando on April 1, 2017. He returned to the ring on the April 12, 2017 episode of NXT, establishing himself as a face with a new entrance theme. He soon became the #1 Contender for the NXT Championship and defeated Bobby Roode to become the NXT Champion, after the win he was attacked by debutant Adam Cole and The Undisputed Era. He held the title till NXT WarGames and lost the championship to Andrade Cien Almas after 91 days.

Main roster return

On April 16, 2018, Drew McIntyre made his main roster return as a part of Superstar Shakeup with Dolph Ziggler. He established himself as a heel by attacking Titus O’Neil and Apollo Crews. He was placed among the bigger stars and on the main event spotlight. He became a top heel of the company by having a long feud against Roman Reigns. He had various heel associations against Roman Reigns and Shield. WWE then pulled all the heel alliances and pushed a singles run, where he started an undefeated streak. At Royal Rumble 2020, McIntyre marked his first major win by winning the Royal Rumble match and became face in the process. He main evented WrestleMania 36 by challenging Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship and won, marking his first major championship victory in WWE. During the pandemic, McIntyre carried WWE on his shoulder alone, as most wrestlers were away from television due to lockdown restrictions. His second run in the company was extremely successful as he won the WWE Championship twice and is the default top-card wrestler of the company.
