The Fiend will return to in-ring action at WrestleMania 37 against Randy Orton

WWE WrestleMania 37 Night 2 will see The Fiend make his return to in-ring action in WWE for the first time since being burned alive by Randy Orton in the FireFly Inferno Match at the Tables, Ladders and Chairs event in December 2020.

After months away from WWE television, The Fiend made his sinister return at Fastlane during Randy Orton's intergender match with Alexa Bliss. Bliss has continued the mind games with Randy Orton in Bray Wyatt's absence on WWE television.

Dutch Mantell revealed that he isn't a fan of the "supernatural" elements of the Randy Orton and The Fiend storyline on WWE television, but he does understand the appeal of it. Mantell predicts that despite recent mind games by Wyatt, Randy Orton will leave WrestleMania victorious:

"Well, I don't necessarily like it. But I'm not the arbiter of that. What's going to decide this is the marketplace and if it's the place for it, they're going to use it. But this is something that is very creative and whatever they might do I don't think it will shock anyone. But if you're looking for a winner, Alexa Bliss is going to be heavily involved in this somehow, someway and I think Randy Orton goes over, I think. The Fiend gets his heat back on him right at the end."

Dutch Mantell also speculated that the WrestleMania 37 crowd could see a grand Fiend entrance before both Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt transition into a cinematic match that is presented later during the event:

"They could start it early and all of a sudden drive out 'where did they go?' Then later on in the show they go back, now they're on some farm somewhere and they're having the match. They could come back to it 30 minutes later, now they've got to where they're going to go and then they have their match. I think the fans would buy that, I would buy it. That's just me though."
