At Elimination Chamber 2019, WWE will crown inaugural Women's Tag Team champions in a tag team Elimination Chamber match (the first ever women's tag team Elimination Chamber match and the second ever tag team elimination chamber match). Nia Jax & Tamina were the first team to qualify when they defeated Alexa Bliss & Mickie James when Nia Jax pinned Mickie James with a Samoan Drop. Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan of the Riott Squad were the second team to qualify when they defeated Natalya & Dana Brooke when Liv Morgan rolled up Natalya. Sonya Deville & Mandy Rose declared themselves for the match on SmackDown Live. There are 2 spots remaining for SmackDown Live and one spot remaining for Monday Night Raw. The final spot for Monday Night Raw will be determined when Sasha Banks and Bayley team up against the intriguing duo of Alicia Fox and Nikki Cross.
#3 The Boss and Hug Connection (Monday Night Raw)
Sasha Banks and Bayley will face off with the crazy (literally) duo of Alicia Fox and Nikki Cross. While Nikki Cross has impressed in recent weeks, Alicia Fox and Nikki Cross should not be in this match over the Boss and Hug Connection. Becoming Tag Team champions have been part of Sasha Banks and Bayley's storyline since Bayley made her debut in 2016. At first, they were allies, they then showed tension and almost became enemies but finally became a tag team in 2018 after Sasha Banks admitted that she loved Bayley. Since then, the two have gotten wins over the Riott Squad, Mickie James and Alicia Fox, and even Natalya and Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey.
The two are the most credible Superstars in the running for the Women's Tag Team titles and they can easily make the match as good as it can possibly get thanks to their skills inside the ring. The Boss and Hug Connection are easily the best possible Superstars to hold the women's Tag Team titles heading into WrestleMania 35. Especially if the rumors about Sasha Banks and Bayley facing off with Trish Stratus and Lita at WrestleMania for the Women's Tag Team titles.
#2: The IIconics (SmackDown Live)
The IIconics were the original favorites to win the Women's Tag Team Titles when they were originally rumored back in July. It is easy to see why. Out of all of the tag teams in the running, these two women have the most chemistry with each other. Everything from their entrance to their promos to their tag team work in the ring are perfectly in sync (which is understandable since they have been friends since they were kids).
Since joining SmackDown Live, the IIconics have defeated teams made of credible superstars like Becky Lynch & Asuka and Naomi & Asuka. It is a necessity that the IIconics are in this match because they would decrease its predictability while making the match much more entertaining. The former NXT Breakout Stars of the Year might not win the titles immediately but will almost certainly be future champions.
#1 Carmella and Naomi
Naomi will almost certainly be involved in the Women's Tag Team title Elimination Chamber match due to her feud with Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. However, Naomi will need to find a partner if she wants to participate in this match. Up until this past episode of SmackDown Live, it seemed like Lana would be Naomi's partner as they reform their Ravishing Glow duo.
However, now that Lana is no longer a face and has turned heel with Rusev, it is likely that Carmella teams up with Naomi. This makes sense because Carmella was recently supposed to have a match with Sonya Deville that was cancelled due to drama between Mandy Rose, the Usos, and Sonya Deville. Therefore, these two faces who love to dance will likely team together at Elimination Chamber to make up the numbers in the match while also putting over the promising team of Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.
