At Elimination Chamber, Rey Mysterio will take on The Miz. Immediately after their loss to the "Grit Couple" at Royal Rumble, The "It Couple" picked up a feud with The Mysterios.
Unlike the previous feud, they have a legitimate chance of winning this one. However, that may be because of the other big implications heading into WrestleMania.
It was previously rumored around December 2021 that the planned break-up of Dominik and Rey Mysterio would unfold in the coming months. Plans seemingly changed as they picked up more wins and momentum, but with WrestleMania season coming, a turn could happen at any point.
Admittedly, we understand many fans wanting to have a tease towards the break-up rather than an abrupt one, but with the latter, the surprise element is present. It would be interesting to see Dominik Mysterio inadvertently cost his father at Elimination Chamber before proceeding to turn on him.
Dominik desperately needs a character change and his current persona isn't doing anything to connect with fans. He has the advantage of being from wrestling royalty, but that will only get him so far. A heel turn needs to happen, and Saturday is a good place to begin.
