#3. Brock Lesnar winning has bigger implications than we think
As much as Brock Lesnar's WWE title win was dreaded by a large section of fans, the company had more than one incentive to put the title back on him. Primarily, the most marketable WrestleMania main event would be a champion vs. champion, title vs. title match.
WWE has sold a lot of tickets for WrestleMania 38, but this could prove to boost ticket sales even more. Six years ago, Shane McMahon's return and match with The Undertaker helped WrestleMania 32 ticket sales massively.
However, it's also the best way to cap off the trilogy of WrestleMania matches. The company knows that after April 4th, there will be no turning back at the Roman Reigns-Brock Lesnar feud. This will be the conclusive chapter of what might be one of the defining rivalries of this era.
It's more than just a big title vs. title match for many fans. These are the two undisputed top stars of WWE at the moment, and many big implications come with the title vs. title bout.
The only other superstars to have WrestleMania trilogies are The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, and Triple H. The Stone Cold vs. The Rock trilogy headlined the event twice but didn't in their third bout at The Grandest Stage of Them All.
The Undertaker vs. Triple H happened at WrestleMania 17, 27, and 28. None of their bouts headlined the show. Reigns vs. Lesnar will mark the only WrestleMania main event trilogy in WWE history.
