#2. Brock Lesnar reportedly pushed for the win himself
Brock Lesnar is one of the few superstars in WWE to have any creative control at all. While Roman Reigns is believed to have a level of creative control, the extent of it seems unknown. Edge is another superstar who reportedly has it, as did Daniel Bryan before he left the company.
However, Lesnar seemingly gets to say and do whatever he wants. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Beast Incarnate internally pushed for a title vs. title match at WrestleMania.
"Definitely something being talked about internally and something Lesnar was pushing for. Lesnar was the favorite followed by [Bobby] Lashley and then [Seth] Rollins."
This is another case of Lesnar getting what he wants. It's not a great look when a superstar pitches the idea of pushing themselves that match. Edge reportedly did something similar in 2021 by pitching to win the Royal Rumble and headline WrestleMania.
However, it's hard to blame Brock Lesnar when he enjoys a privileged position that nobody else on the roster is in.
