Former Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore has claimed that WWE contacted him about a month before Survivor Series 2018, asking him about a potential return to the company.
Amore rejected the chance to return
However, Amore flat out refused the possibility of going back to the company, as he was in a different headspace. Speaking on Chris Jericho’s podcast Talk is Jericho, he said:
Will John Cena beat Ric Flair's record? A former WCW Champion thinks so HERE
“I had a few people in the office contact me about a month prior about coming back. Would I interested, or where my head [was] at. [I was] like, ‘Hell no, I’m in a different headspace, I’m not trying to come back’.” (H/T: 411Mania)
Enzo Amore, who now goes by nZo, was fired by WWE in January 2018 after he was charged with a sexual assault allegation. Amore was later cleared of the charges due to a lack of evidence.
In the meantime, he focused on his music career, but it didn’t stop him from appearing at Survivor Series that year as he attended the show disguised as a fan and caused a disruption while standing on his seat.
As a result, he was forced out of the venue and was later banned from future events at the Staples Center.
