After WWE SmackDown's big win at the 2005 Survivor Series event, we didn't see Interbrand matches at the show for the next two years. In 2008 as well, there was nothing much on the stake at the Survivor Series event, in regards to Interbrand competition.

In the only Interbrand match of the night, Team RAW (Beth Phoenix, Kelly Kelly, Candice Michelle, Mickie James, and Jillian Hall) defeated Team SmackDown (Michelle McCool, Maryse, Maria Kanellis, Natalya, and Victoria) in a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination match. This was the first time WWE RAW won a Survivor Series Elimination match against the Blue brand.
The next year, WWE would create a pay-per-view specifically to find out which is the better brand, named Bragging Rights. The pay-per-view lasted for only two years before it was disbanded. The main event of the first Bragging Rights pay-per-view was won by Team SmackDown after Big Show turned on Team RAW. Big Show was later punished on RAW for his actions at the pay-per-view. The next year as well, Team SmackDown emerged victorious in the main event.
Score- SmackDown: 2, RAW: 1

Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
