Daniel Bryan is the reigning WWE Champion on SmackDown Live

Daniel Bryan overcame all the odds to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of WrestleMania XXX. The Yes Man first defeated Triple H in the 2nd match of the night to earn a WWE World Heavyweight Championship opportunity later in the main event.

Bryan then defeated the champion Randy Orton and the Royal Rumble match winner, Batista in the same match to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. This storyline was one of the most memorable ones of all time and Daniel Bryan rightly played his role as the underdog.

Bryan is currently the WWE Champion of the company and he will likely defend his title against Kofi Kingston at WrestleMania 35.
