#7 AJ Styles - Retained United States Championship at SummerSlam 2019

AJ Styles faced off against Ricochet at the 2019 SummerSlam in a rematch from their encounter at the 2019 Extreme Rules. The Phenomenal One defended the WWE United States Championship against Ricochet with fellow O.C. brethren Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson at his corner.

Ricochet put up a great fight but was unable to regain the US title that he lost to Styles at Extreme Rules as he was defeated when Styles countered his attempted Phoenix Splash into a Styles Clash.

Although Gallows and Anderson are no longer with the company, Styles is currently on Friday Night SmackDown where he is the reigning Intercontinental Champion. However, he is scheduled to defend his Intercontinental title against Jeff Hardy on the August 21 episode of SmackDown and not at SummerSlam.

#6 Bayley - Retained SmackDown Women's Championship at SummerSlam 2019

Bayley and Ember Moon embroiled in action

At WWE SummerSlam 2019, Bayley was the reigning SmackDown Women's Champion and she defended it against Ember Moon in a singles match. Both Bayley and Moon put on a great performance and in the end, Bayley hit the Bayley-to-Belly suplex on Moon from the top turnbuckle to defeat her and retain the title.

After one year, Bayley is still the SmackDown Women's Champion in her second reign, as well as one-half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions with Sasha Banks. However, she has undergone a total transformation by turning her back on the WWE Universe and now refers to herself as the "Role Model." Bayley Dos Straps will be competing in this year's SummerSlam, too, when she defends the SmackDown Women's Championship against Asuka.
