WWE Championship: Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Kofi Kingston
While I'd still like to see AJ Styles featured prominently at WrestleMania rather than in a potential match against Randy Orton, the options for challengers for Daniel Bryan are limited.
Rey Mysterio is still embroiled in a feud with Andrade and Jeff Hardy is a part of a tag team once again. Samoa Joe would be a good opponent but a face would also need to be added in that scenario.
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
I like the idea of a face Kevin Owens challenging Bryan at WrestleMania, but things got switched around this week with Owens replacing Kingston at Fastlane.
It's all a device to get even more sympathy for Kingston to cause the crowd to explode once he eventually gets the title shot a month later than originally planned. You cannot argue that Kingston doesn't deserve it or that he cannot deliver on the big stage.
We've already seen what Kingston and Bryan are capable of when they've squared off, but the payoff would be even greater since they are technically 1-1 against each other.
Kingston pinned Bryan in the gauntlet match and Bryan defeated Kingston in the Elimination Chamber. While it won't be treated like the main event, it will be a match similar to when Bryan defied the odds and beat all three members of Evolution at WrestleMania 30.
He was told he wasn't good enough by the Authority, and Kingston's current storyline certainly mirrors that.
