Fastlane 2019 News: WWE Superstar finds out about his surprising new Fastlane match on Twitter

What's the story?

WWE announced a brand new match for Fastlane 2019 just moments ago. It was revealed that The New Day (Big E and Xavier Woods) will be facing the recently formed team of Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura.

Although the match has been announced for the Kickoff show, it is great that these talented performers will be in action at the last stop before Wrestlemania 35.

Kofi Kingston has been riding a wave of momentum ever since he took part in a gauntlet match on the SmackDown before Elimination Chamber. Kingston showed a gutsy performance and won the applause of not just the live crowd, but of fans around the world.

Kingston impressed again in the Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship where he came extremely close to winning his first WWE Championship but eventually could not defeat Daniel Bryan in the thrilling encounter.

The New Day has been on an emotional roller coaster as Kingston was named the number one contender for the WWE Championship at Fastlane. However, right before he could sign the contract for the match Vince McMahon announced that it will, in fact, be the returning Kevin Owens who will face Daniel Bryan at Fastlane.

The heart of the matter

What's next?

Fastlane will take place on March 10, 2019, at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The PPV is being headlined by Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair and will also have a host of other great matches including Daniel Bryan vs Kevin Owens and The Shield vs Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre, and Bobby Lashley.
