Carlito's future with The Judgment Day looks in danger, as a recent report stated that Finn Balor and Co. may kick the star out of the group. However, a recent off-screen match may have given a hint on who could replace the Caribbean Cool in the heel faction.
The last few months have seen multiple changes being made to The Judgment Day, as Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley were ousted from the group, while Carlito and Liv Morgan joined their ranks. Raquel Rodriguez recently became the latest addition to the stable. However, this may not be the final iteration of the faction, as it was recently reported that WWE was planning a singles push for the Puerto Rican, and hence he could be removed from the group.
Nonetheless, Carlito was in action in a dark match after SmackDown, where he teamed up with Finn Balor and the man who may replace him in The Judgment Day. Balor and Carlito joined forces with Pete Dunne in a losing affair against Sami Zayn and The New Day. While the match took place for just the live audience after SmackDown went off the air, it may very well be a hint of Dunne replacing the Puerto Rican in the RAW faction.
Pete Dunne was formerly a part of The Brawling Brutes. However, he has been a solo star in the absence of his tag partner Tyler Bate. The Bruiserweight was recently involved in a feud with Sheamus. A union with The Judgment Day could be a welcome change for the 30-year-old. However, the angle is speculative at this point.
WWE veteran slammed Triple H's booking of Finn Balor
Finn Balor is widely regarded as one of the most talented wrestlers on the planet. However, many feel that The Prince has underachieved in his career on the main roster, with his booking often being inconsistent.
The former Universal Champion's booking was also called out by Jim Cornette, who stated that Balor was not suited to be a heel.
"Finn Balor is not a big f***ing big-time top heel. I'm sorry, but he's got the rag in his back pocket, and he's wearing sneakers, and he's got the little voice like that, and he's a foot shorter than Priest, and 40 pounds lighter or whatever it is," Cornette said.
Balor has been a heel since 2022. However, he has since failed to win most of his singles matches. The RAW Superstar currently holds the World Tag Team Championship along with JD McDonagh. However, the duo's title run has been underwhelming, to say the least.
