Finn Balor and The Judgment Day's storyline has been experiencing interesting developments with each passing week. On last week’s RAW, Balor finally earned a World Heavyweight Title shot against Gunther when Adam Pearce announced a match between The Prince and The Ring General for Saturday Night's Main Event.
On tonight’s edition of WWE RAW, tensions might escalate due to the post-match attack by The Judgment Day member on The Ring General last week. The former Universal Champion might leave the villainous faction if he wins the World Heavyweight Championship.
There have already been signs of tension between Balor and the villainous faction, indicating that he might be ousted in the near future. If Finn Balor somehow manages to capture the World Heavyweight Championship in his upcoming bout against Gunther, he might choose to quit the faction himself.
The 43-year-old star could declare that he is fully capable of being a world champion on his own and no longer needs The Judgment Day members by his side.
Balor's chances of winning the world title seem stronger following recent reports suggesting that the veteran is set for a singles push in WWE next year. With 2024 nearing its conclusion, The Prince might pull off the unthinkable by dethroning Gunther as World Heavyweight Champion.
Even if Balor fails to win the title at Saturday Night's Main Event, he might eventually quit The Judgment Day whenever he secures the gold. We’ll have to wait and see what happens on tonight’s episode of WWE RAW, where The Prince and Gunther come face-to-face after last week’s events.
Finn Balor might create his own version of The Judgment Day soon
If Finn Balor doesn't quit The Judgment Day, he might create his own version of the faction. Balor has a better relationship with JD McDonagh when compared to his other stablemates like Dominik Mysterio. So, it’s safe to assume that in the future, Balor and McDonagh might team up and create their version of The Judgment Day by introducing new members.
Carlito could join them, as he hasn’t had any conflict with Finn Balor yet, nor has he opposed The Prince's actions. Creating two versions of The Judgment Day could be an interesting direction to explore.
WWE needs to be extra careful not to waste this opportunity by dragging out a feud between the two potential factions for months, as that could eventually diminish fan interest. This storyline could work well as a short-term feud, generating massive buzz among viewers.
