AJ Lee and Paige's rivalry dominated much of 2014, but they were back on the same page the following year. After weeks of being tormented by The Bella Twins, AJ Lee returned from a short sabbatical to help Paige against the twins.
The match itself saw Paige take a beating from Nikki and Brie Bella before tagging AJ. The latter once again showed she is one of the best of her time and made Nikki tap out to the Black Widow.

The night after WrestleMania 31, AJ Lee competed in her final WWE match. She was pitted in a six-woman tag team match alongside Paige and Naomi to take on The Bella Twins and Natalya.
Surprisingly, the match was given at least fifteen minutes, which was unusual for women's matches at that time. AJ's team scored the victory and was embraced by her teammates. The next day, WWE officially announced that AJ Lee had retired from the squared circle.
