WWE finally ditched their formulaic talking segments that served as an opening for a true "OMG" moment, and it definitely paid dividends. Beyond that, it sucked the viewer right into the show and made them want to know what would happen next when Raw came back from break.

Maybe that was due to how unexpected the moment was or that grim-looking static shot that cameraman transfixed on after the collision, but every little detail seemed to matter more than ever. Furthermore, it blurred the lines between fiction and reality, thus leaving fans on the edge of their seats throughout the encounter.
In the end, this way a great way to kick off Monday Night Raw and will go down in history as one of the best openings the red brand has ever had. It will also serve as a reminder to the WWE Universe that the company is a lot better than most fans give them credit for and is capable of pulling things like this off at any time.
