We have all heard the saying, like father, like daughter. This rings true for the WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte and her father, the legendary Ric Flair. From the very beginning fans knew the second generation diva would be something special. Touting herself as genetically superior, she is well known for her time in NXT and being a part of the revolutionary Four Horsewomen. This can be derived from the stable her father was in years prior, the Four Horsemen.
While Charlotte has indeed been successful in her WWE career, she can thank her father for passing on his traits to her. It certainly has helped her out. Her ring work is similar to her dad; you see shades of Flair in what she does. You see it when she performs the knee drops and her unique Figure Eight finisher, which pays homage to her famous father. What else resonates with her?

5. Promo work
Just like her father, Charlotte has a mean streak, and it isn’t more evident than when she grabs a microphone. While Charlotte isn’t the best at promos, since her heel turn it has been better. While Flair has some iconic phrases, Charlotte doesn’t have one just yet (‘If you’re gonna do it, do it with Flair’ was a start). But regardless, practice does make perfect and while she may not surpass her father on the mic, she’s doing just fine right now.
4. Overly emotional
Now you know that Flair will get emotional in a minute. The same goes for Charlotte. It literally takes nothing for the emotions to kick in with the Flair’s. Either way, it sells the stories they are telling, and a part of pro wrestling is the emotion conveyed in their stories. You can guarantee that if it calls for waterworks, the Flairs got you covered.
3. Cheat to win
Shades of Flair were forthcoming when Charlotte constantly relied on her father’s assistance after her Divas Championship win. In a weird sense, it was only right that the Dirtiest Player in the Game passed this characteristic on to his daughter. Now that Charlotte as cut ties in the ring with Flair, she has her friend in Dana Brooke as an insurance policy to keep the WWE Women’s Championship in her possession.
2. Natural woman…I mean heel
Charlotte’s character is certainly better than ever as a heel. I said that earlier; it serves Charlotte better and who better than her father to learn from in this aspect. She relies on other’s to make sure she keeps the Women’s Championship, and win matches. When Charlotte didn’t need Flair anymore, she gave him a taste of his own medicine by kicking him to the curb. Talk about blowing up in your face.
1. Championship material
We all knew Charlotte was destined for greatness when she joined NXT and made waves with Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Bayley as part of the Four Horsewomen period. She would add to the Flair family legacy when she captured the NXT Women’s Championship. Charlotte did so again when she defeated Nikki Bella at Night of Champions and ended her history making Championship reign. Charlotte is the last Divas Champion and the first WWE Women’s Champion in the new era. Not a bad thing on her resume, if you ask me. She is just getting started.
