Mr Wrestlemania, Shawn Michaels has already been offered a match with AJ Styles back in January 2017 as an opponent for the then-WWE Champion at the Royal Rumble event.

Michaels turned that one down, advising that he was unwilling to come out of retirement for that bout as it wouldn't make sense to break his retirement vow for a match with Styles whom he had no story-line reason to face.

However, given that Michaels is due to come out of retirement next month on November 2, 2018, at Crown Jewel as part of an ongoing story-line to undo his retirement vow in a story that makes perfect sense, this long wished for encounter would appear to be back on the table.

Once Michaels is finished with the man who retired him and subsequently called him out of retirement, The Undertaker, then he is free to look at the rest of the roster against superstars he has never faced before.

Styles is the name that stands out at the top of the list, given his high flying style that matches up well to Michaels at his peak.

On paper, this is the fantasy match to end all fantasy matches and could well be a featured match as early as Wrestlemania 35.
