Nikki Cross needs a boost in momentum after taking a loss to Bayley

Another big question on the WWE Universe's mind has to be why the company would have Nikki Cross lose clean to Bayley at Extreme Rules.The obvious answer is that the company probably has plans to further this storyline in some way, but why give Cross a clean loss after a multitude of wins?

Not only does it kill her momentum and virtually put her at the back of the line, but it also paints Bliss as a victim that deserves another title match. Again, WWE can easily rectify this by giving Cross another chance at the title in the future, but it just kills any kind of momentum she had going for her.

In the end, this is not a great way to build a star in Nikki Cross, especially since she came up short when it counted, but it will hopefully lead to something in the future. Even if Cross and Bliss are done with Bayley and the Smackdown Women's title, they can still team up and go for the tag team titles.

Either way, just do something. Don't let that kind of momentum die.
