While the contract negotiations will probably have no long-term effect on The A lister's career, an exit by Daniel Bryan due to talks falling through would leave The Miz without a high profile opponent on the blue brand. In fact, it would effectively derail one of the most teased storylines by WWE in quite some time.

WWE even put The Miz back on Smackdown Live during The Superstar Shakeup to jump-start the feud between Bryan and The Miz, but now might be forced to pump the breaks until it can be determined that it will actually happen. Another thing that could negatively affect Miz is if Bryan uses his contract negotiations to gain creative control, which could hurt Miz.

With that being said, whether this feud takes off or not this summer will be highly dependent on the contract negotiations between WWE and Daniel Bryan. Unfortunately for The Miz, he could be left without an opponent for the summer months and The WWE Universe could end up losing out on one of the greatest feuds of all time.
